In a strategic reshuffle, Galaxy Digital, under the leadership of CEO Mike Novogratz, has appointed Anthony Paquette as its new Chief Financial Officer.
Paquette will succeed Alex Ioffe, who is transitioning into a senior advisory role within the organization.
Experience of Anthony Paquette
Paquette arrives at Galaxy Digital with a wealth of experience, having spent four years as CFO at Point72, where he oversaw global finance operations for the hedge fund.
His impressive resume also includes significant positions at SoFi, JP Morgan Chase, and Bank of America, where he developed robust skills in financial management.
Commitment to Galaxy Digital’s Growth
Upon his appointment, Paquette expressed enthusiasm about joining Galaxy Digital.
He highlighted the firm’s respected standing in the digital assets space and emerging technologies, and he is keen to play a pivotal role in strengthening the finance team’s efforts to elevate Galaxy’s leadership in the industry.
Future Prospects and Team Appreciation
Mike Novogratz took a moment to praise Ioffe for his contributions, particularly in building a strong finance team and laying the groundwork for a potential public listing in the United States.
Currently listed in Toronto, Galaxy Digital is eyeing a move to Nasdaq, with an application pending approval from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to shift its headquarters from the Cayman Islands to Delaware—a request filed in February 2023.
